With intelligence and an open mind, Sister George invested in the future of St. Joseph's. Her bold decisions to admit male students and to purchase the Long Island campus positioned St. Joseph's to impact a more diverse population and to thrive as it entered its second century.
The Aquinas Society recognizes loyal alumni, parents, faculty, and friends who have provided St. Joseph's University with documentation of a gift to St. Joseph's in their estate plans. While their planned gifts range widely in amount, Aquinas Society members have all invested in the future of St. Joseph's University. We celebrate their outstanding generosity through special member benefits, including exclusive invitations and engagement opportunities.
Since the Society’s inception, more than 200 people have made planned gifts. Those 200 people have donated $28 million collectively and created 28 new scholarships. The current 130 members represent more than $8 million in future funding. Gift sizes range from $200 to more than $2 million.
